Tulsa Robotics Center team invited to represent Oklahoma at inaugural Governor’s Cup

TULSA, Okla. — A competitive robotics team from Tulsa Robotics Center has been invited by Governor Kevin Stitt to represent Oklahoma at the inaugural Governor’s Cup in Washington, D.C., in February.

The team, known as Leviathan Robotics, is recognized nationally for its technical skill, teamwork, and innovation. The Governor’s Cup will bring together student teams from across the country to highlight excellence in science, technology, engineering and math education.

Tulsa Robotics Center Foundation Board President Christopher Smith said the invitation reflects the dedication of the students and the broader community that supports robotics education in Tulsa.

“Leviathan Robotics continues to set the standard for what’s possible when passion, teamwork, and technical excellence come together. Being selected for the Governor’s Cup is a testament not only to their national reputation for innovation, but to the hard work and curiosity that drive these students every day. We’re proud to see them represent Oklahoma on a stage that celebrates the very best in STEM education, and we know they’ll inspire teams from across the country just as they inspire our community.”

Tulsa Robotics Center will host a send-off celebration and open house ahead of the team’s departure to Washington, D.C., offering the community an opportunity to meet the team and learn more about the organization’s work preparing students for future careers in STEM fields.

Additional details about the send-off event will be announced soon.
